Technically speaking, this is more like a room than an apartment. If you want a bed, you can’t have a sofa (unless of course you want to live with one sofa bed). If you want both, then there is no place for a dining table. Due to the limited space, there was only one way we could go - VERTICAL.
We built a double bed on top of her walk-in closet, while freeing up the space for a moveable sofa and bar table. We used only one material, plywood, because there is simply no room for more. We opted for a Japanese Zen mood and feel. We created space in this studio flat transformation, when there was no space to begin with.
As they like to say: Don’t let anything limit your creativity.
